Ingredients:
- Eggs – 4
- Large onions – 2 (sliced lengthwise)
- Garlic cloves – 6 (sliced lengthwise)
- Dried red chilies (Kanja) – 3
- Tamarind – a small gooseberry-sized piece
- Lemon – half
- Coriander leaves – a small handful (chopped)
- Salt – as needed
- Oil – 2 teaspoons
Required Cooking Equipments:
- Frying pan
- Spoon
- Knife
- Mixing bowl
- Large serving plate
Cooking Instruction :
- Preparing the eggs:
- Boil the eggs well and peel the shells off. Keep the eggs whole without cutting.
- Tamarind extract:
- Soak the tamarind in some water and extract the juice.
- Sautéing garlic and onions:
- Heat a teaspoon of oil in a pan, sauté the sliced garlic until fragrant.
- Then add the sliced onions and cook gently until soft.
- Preparing chili paste:
- Roast the dried red chilies and grind them coarsely without adding water.
- Preparing the topping mixture:
- In a bowl, mix the sautéed garlic, onions, chili paste, tamarind extract, salt, and lemon juice well.
- Topping method:
- Place the whole boiled eggs on a plate.
- Carefully make a slit from the side to the center of each egg.
