Ingredients:
- Butter – 140 grams
- Chocolate (chopped) – 120 grams ((We used a mix of dark and milk chocolate)
- Eggs – 2
- Sugar – 3/4 cup
- All-purpose flour (maida) – 1/2 cup
- Cocoa powder – 1/3 cup
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
Required Cooking Equipments:
- Mixing bowls – 2 large ones
- Sieve – to sift flour and cocoa powder
- Hand mixer or whisk – to beat eggs and sugar
- Spatula – for gently folding the batter
- Oven – for baking
- Baking tin – square shape or as you prefer
- Baking paper or butter/flour – to prevent sticking
- Toothpick – to test doneness
- Microwave-safe bowl or pan – to melt butter and chocolate
- Stove (optional) – if microwave is not available
Cooking Instruction :
- Melt butter and chocolate – Combine both in a bowl and melt using a microwave or stovetop until smooth.
- Beat eggs and sugar – In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar using a hand mixer until light and frothy.
- Add chocolate mixture – Pour in the melted butter-chocolate mix and vanilla essence. Mix well.
- Sift dry ingredients – Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into the mixture.
- Fold gently – Use a spatula to gently fold everything together. Avoid overmixing.
- Pour and bake – Transfer the batter into a square baking tin and bake at 170°C for 30–35 minutes.
- Test – Insert a toothpick in the center; if it comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs, it’s ready!
Serving Method:
- Serve warm for the best taste.
- Enjoy on its own, or with a scoop of ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
- Great as a snack, teatime treat, or dessert.
Cooking Tips :
- Be careful while melting chocolate and butter—do not burn.
- You can add nuts, chocolate chips, or walnut pieces on top before baking.
- Avoid opening the oven too often.
- Overmixing the batter will reduce the fudgy texture.
- If the toothpick comes out fully clean, it might be overbaked. Slightly moist is perfect for fudgy brownies.
